I've been combing the archives here, and I'm trying to decide how best to set up a nano shrimp tank. If I use MGOCPM as a base, is Fluorite okay to cap it with for shrimp or should I use sand? I'd like to create a black substrate to show off the wee critters...I'm thinking of getting some neos once the tank has cycled. After reading so many posts, I'm afraid I'm beginning to overthink things. If I chose something like shrimp stratum, do I need to worry about it breaking down too soon? I'd like the tank to be stabilized for a few years if possible before I had to redo it. Thank you.
Neos would be okay in a dirted tank. Your substrate won't matter much.
Have you taken a look at the Shrimp forum? There's a sticky post there that contains mountains of information that will be really beneficial for you to read.
Thank you both for replying. I have been haunting the shrimp forum for awhile, Somewhatshocked. I will continue to do so. I appreciate both of you taking the time to help.
