Ok I have about a 800 gallon wildlife pond, or shall I say had a wildlife pond. It's heavily planted and only has a solar aerator. Had crystal clear water, a school of mosquito fish and tons of tadpoles, and plenty of water bugs that pretty much eliminated any mosquito larvae. I thought everything was perfect. Then we had 4 straight days of rain. Yesterday and today I checked everything out to find cloudy water( though it is clearing up) but every critter is gone except one mosquito fish. Gone. I ripped out most of the plants and probed the pond with nets. No signs of life at all. No dead remains either. What the hell happened? Does anyone have any idea? Also what should I do. Kinda boring just to have a pond with one mosquito fish in it.

Could it be a bunch of chemical runoff from neighbours lawns...that kindof thing?

Drastic ph & temp change with all the rain?

I dont understand the missing bodies though. Maybe you have a turtle!!!

Only bad things happen quickly.
A little allot is better than allot a little.
