I know you won't like it but here is my recommendation. On my old setup it had two drains, i ran one at a full siphon just to where a little bit went into the other pipe. Worked great, super quiet and still got the air exchange via the second pipe.

I would add a second bulkhead on one side of the housing as a "overflow" run the primary drain at full siphon but slow enough that water still travels through the secondary line. That way you have a backup drain quiet and air exchange
