Just want to share my carelessness. I dosed Maracyn for the 3rd day to combat BGA. I was wondering why there was no change in my tank after the second day. So I looked up my Maracyn box. Duh, I've been dosing Maracyn 2  So FYI, Maracyn 2 doesn't work for BGA. I hope it doesn't kill my plants

Maracyn is erithromycin, an antibiotic that kills gram negative bacteria, which is what BGA happens to be.

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

Finish the treatment as instructed (or at half-dose if you're doing so). If you cut it short, you run the risk of fostering antibiotic resistance.

Sorry for replying late. I just came back from business trip. Well, I only treated Maracyn 2 half way (3 days) and then cleared it up. I haven't dosed any maracyn yet. But when I came back today, the BGA isn't that bad. I mean they are still there but not really blooming. I'll treat with Maracyn anyway starting tomorrow
