Last week, I just purchased some new Java Moss from my LFS. It was very green and very healthy. However it had some green strands growing on it.
Not knowing what it was, I briefly put it in my tank and removed it after a few days. I now have it in a bucket.
I think it might be Spirogyra Algae after looking at other posts. Can someone confirm this by the picture?
I only paid $4 for the moss, if it is Spirogyra should I just toss it instead of wasting time and money trying to get rid of it? I hate to do that as it is a really nice piece of Java Moss but it seems it will cost more than $4 in my time and supplies to get rid of it.
