I just finished medication with erthromycin to get rid of cynobacteria, when I went on vacation. 3 weeks later, the cyno was gone but this was in its place.

It looks like a thread algae to me. Achieving balance and getting some shrimp will help. I had that for a bit in the beginning and my japonica did a number on it.

I had the same looking stuff on my swords and ferns, just after I increased my light, got on my ferts (lowered the NO3) and got some SAE it was gone in a week. Not sure which of the three it was though (all three in conjuction?). Completely gone now.

I've seen my SAE feast on this stuff. They often ignore the long strands, but they eat the short strands wich keeps new growth free of this algae.
