Green hair algae

I'm doing something wrong but haven't got a handle on it
the aquarium is a 6 gal Fluval Edge II with an add 13watt Fluval compact florescent with a laterite and sand substrate
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate less that 20
50% WC weekly
dosing API CO2 daily
Conlin and Sears formulation PMDD weekly
Lights on 10hrs
The Betta is happy and for the most part so are the plants but the green hair algae in this aquarium is driving me crazy and it's not in the other two tanks

10 hrs of light with weak CO2 jumps out at me as a viable cause.

It's CO2. See-Oh-Two. Not C02 (see-zero-two).

Then I'd shorten your photo period.

try the hydrogen peroxide nuke method

The "One-Two Punch" Whole Tank Algae Treatment

afterwards...do less light, more co2, more plants. if you dont make changes to your tank algae will keep reappearing.

increase water circulation within the tank and add significantly more plants.

I've shorten your photo period to 6hr did an Excel overdose Saturday and this morning most of the GHA is white so it's dying. I feel like if I can get it under control I can keep beat down with the shorter photo period maybe

+ more plants. Green Hair algae is hard to get rid of, but ime algaefix works wonders. Also great at killing shrimp so be careful.
