I had BGA/Cyanobacteria take over my entire planted tank about 2 years ago.
Then I got a common pleco, and it all disappeared within a week.
Well the pleco has passed and eventually this stuff has been stealing my plants light for months now.
I can't tell if it's Brush, Beard, or BGA. Perhaps I have multiple types of algae.
You can see that some of the algae is fluffy, and actually spreads from one leaf to another (on my one fake plant, bottom-left of the first image).
It is soft and if I let it accumulate, I can peel some of it off in pieces. If I don't let it accumulate, I have to rub the crap out of the leaves, often ripping them apart.
It also smells, which is why I think it could be BGA again.
Water changes, less food, and blackouts don't seem to be helping much.
Any help is appreciated!
