So I have a small 5 gallon Spec V with a finnex ray 2 and CO2. Everything is growing so nice!!
It's crazy how many things are putting out new growth. Heck even my Buce Copper is has put out 5 new leaves in 3 days. It's awesome!
Bad part is I'm starting to notice some algae which I expected to encounter. Now I don't exactly know what I'm doing or going to do to counteract it so please help this newbie out
Right now I've got a tiny bit of green dust algae growing on some L. Atlantis and that's it. It might have been hitchhiked in but I kinda doubt it. (I looked). I also have a small bit of hair algae growing on some tips of rotala. It's not your usual hair algae but is quite fluid and flimsy. Seems to capture co2 quite well.
Nothing else and the algae seems to just be beginning but I don't know what I should be doing. Tried reading but having trouble.
I'm going through the same thing right now....minus the good growth, even though im using Co2. Hoppy has EXTREMELY helpful articles about lighting with graphs and all. I recommend reading it as I did. It's alot to take in as a newbie, but the more you know the better and more fun it is.
