How you kill off diatoms?

Thankfully this is the only "algae" i ever have a problem with, but it always seems to come back, especially in my planted tank. What is the best way to kill it off?

Well what causes diatoms? Low light, New tank syndrome, phopshates, silica, low oxygen.
I'd go down the list, and cross off what isnt the problem.

I'm not into the image, but into the hobby...
