Finally, I ordered my UV sterilizer and it should be here by Friday! It is too bad green algae can't scream, I would love to hear it dieing! Ok, that is a bit obbsesive, but just the though of having a clear tank again is making me do cartwheels.

Now, for some questions. Besides the obvious 10-20-1 ratios to maintain, what other advice does anyone have? I know I am definitely going to put in some Jungle vals and other plants to help. Any advice though is helpful, thanks!

Maybe I missed the boat on this, but I'm not sure what's obvious about this ratio. Is this N-P-K? If it is, I'm wondering if you've got a couple of your numbers switched? Or am I a complete goofball (not exactly unexplored territory, here) and this ratio refers to something else?

I think in all the excitement the numbers got switched... 10-1-20 sounds better...

Besides that? The obvious, light and CO2, and the not-so-obvious, Traces and perhaps additional Iron.

Hope that UV beast will clear things up for you...

Yes, I agree, it would be quite horrid if I maintained 10-20-1, my mistake. It is N-P-K, so it would be 10-1-20, sorry! You can tell how excited I was!

I have some trace element mix from Rex, and plan on using that as well, but I can't wait to see the back of my tank again! This is soooo exciting!
