Black fuzz on driftwood

What is this? How do I deal with it? the tank has been running for about two weeks now. I have a pressurized co2 system @ 1-2 bps and have added Flourish twice (2.5 ml/ dose).

New driftwood get's all kinds of fuzz and stuff growing on, although it's usually white so I'm not sure if that's the start of algae or not.

Yeah in my experience new driftwood gets white fuzz. That looks like some kind of algae maybe.

I had it on my rock centerpiece and substrate. Took the rock out, scrubbed it and baked it in the oven. Decreased my lighting and it has not come back. Even the substrate is almost completely gone. Lighting and consistant water changes, I believe, are the answer.
