So, cause may be to strong of lights?
Darn it... Ever since i got them everyhing has started to expload in growth!
Could it possibly be to long of a photo
Period? The lights go on like this,
Light fixture to substrate: 26"
1). 7:30am - 2pm ~ 0 - 2%
2). 2pm - 3:30pm ~ 2 -50%
3). 3:30pm - 6pm ~ 50 - 100%
4). 6pm - 10pm ~ 100% - 100%
5). 10pm - 11pm ~ 100% - 1%
6). 11pm - 730am ~ 1% - 0
Im thinking maybe i can change my photo period... Maybe even shorten the 100% timefield. What you think?
Also, for otos i dont know if i could put in my tank... It would be a risk my red belly piranha might eat him i dont know. I had 4 flying foxes inside and he only ate 1. The other 3 have been co-habbing with him for a month now. If i get an oto it would have to be small lol.
For the algae,
Its brown slimy stuff. Diatoms right? But isnt that from new tank / silicates? My tanks 4 years old while the substrate its flourite black sand thats ~ 1-2 years old
For snails, i have an army of assasins... 2 snails turned into 50s... Didnt know they bred so fast
And nerote snails im not to sure on the amount as i think the assassins would of killed them all. BUT there are a few still alive.
