Yellow fuzzy algae?

Is this algae? (middle, right of pic, at the base of the blades) Noticed it the morning after planting the new cell grown dwarf hairgrass.

I removed it as a precaution but I'm curious? Thx

Looks like it might be a small amount of Rhizoclonium, but it's hard to say. Check out the second picture under the Rhizoclonium section of this page to see if it looks the same to you: http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/algae.htm. It also may have been a little piece of rockwool from the pots of hairgrass.

Rockwool, of course! There were a few stubourn bits I just couldn't get off.. Looks like this seedling uprooted a bit which is how it appeared overnight.

Thanks! Ps: My wife's name is Vicki, spelled the same way.

You have good taste (with Vicki's)! LOL!

I'm glad it was just rockwool. Much better than having algae problems.
