The tank is a 75 gallon, I would say moderatly planted. pH is 7.0, nitrates were about 30 before I did a water change tonight, are now sitting about 15 or so. Don't have the test kits for the others yet. At the moment I have lousy lighting, two four foot bulbs, I honestly don't know the wattage on them, but when I had it figured out, it was definitly a low light tank, no CO2. it does get some natural light, but not much.
I am going to be tearing this tank down and redoing it properly with CO2 and proper lights etc, but have to make some $$ first! That is why I am not too too concerned about the algae, I just don't want it getting out of control!Just bought the oscars a 135gal and need to do some tank shuffling to fit it in the house, which means the 75 gallon (the planted tank) will need to be emptied completly so it can be carried upstairs. Once that is done I hope to attempt my first serious planted tank.
