Long hair like (thick) crap growing on everything?

Back in December I switched from a 75G to a 110G tank & just recently I have been getting this thick stringy stuff growing on everything. It's not like a hair algae, it is thicker than that. Anyone have any idea what it is or how to get rid of it?

I have the same stuff in my betta tank.

Interestingly, I transferred an anubias that was covered with this crap into my shrimp-and-endlers tank, thinking that maybe the shrimp would clean it off, and the ENDLERS ate it. Within an hour or two they had gotten it all.

I had assumed it was some kind of hair algae, but now I have no idea.
