Satellite + LED questions

Just got my 18" Satellite + LED for my Fluval Spec V. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what setting I should be running at? Dosing liquid co2 daily and plant ferts once a week. Root tabs every few months. Am I ok running it at the full spectrum setting for 9 hours a day? Thanks.

Oh, and merry Xmas/happy holidays everybody

I have two Mr. Aquas - the 17.4g (24x12x14) and the 7.5g bowfront (18x?x11). They have the 24-36" and the 18-24" Satellite+, respectively.

Both tanks have AS Amazonia powder and are planted with 90% Crypts. I under-dose Excel daily (Crypts and Shrimp just don't love it IMO) and have plenty of root tabs.

The larger tank has 60+% coverage of duckweed, frogbit, C. balansae and C. spiralis leaves. It is running at approximately: 80% white, 100% red, 60% blue (0% green). I get decent growth from everything including C. parva at the bottom, despite being shaded.

The smaller tank doesn't have any shading, but I initially tried about 70%/70%/70%, anyway. Instant staghorn algae.

It's now at about 50%/60%/40%, and doing very well. Plants are healthy and algae is almost gone (shrimp).

YMMV but I would definitely not run 100%
