6.6 planted fluval chi?

I've got a 6.6 gallon fluval chi and would like to plant it. The plants I'm thinking of are java fern, anubias, crypts, and amazon swords. However, I don't know whether or not the 11 LED lights on the bottom of the filter cube are enough to support plant growth. I've looked around the forum, and some people have had success planting Fluval chis, but some haven't. My questions are:

1. Could I grow plants with the lighting and if so, would the ones I listed work?

2. If not, what's a good light I could add to the tank? Preferably fairly inexpensive, and a clip-on light. Most of my plants will be in the back, so I can place it behind the filter cube.

Oh, and what's a recommended planting substrate that comes in small packages? All the planting substrates at my LFS seem to only come in the 50lb size. Would regular fine gravel work? Also, what's a good fertilizer?

They CAN grow, I'm sure that the java fern and anubias will grow in that lighting, as long as they are under the light. The crypt, I'm not so sure about, and DO NOT get the amazon sword, they grow way too tall for a chi.
As for gravel, for the java fern and anubias, they will need to be tied to a rock or driftwood so that the rhizome (horizontal looking stem thing that is connected to the leaves and roots) is exposed. If they are buried, the plant will rot and eventually die. Fertilization wouldn't be necessary for the java fern and anubias.
