I've had my SpecII running for a few months now. I bought a couple bumble bee and a couple "blue berry" shrimp from a LFS for a few bucks. A few days later I see the BB is berried. Well long story short they all jumped out and a few weeks later I've got 15 or so fry. Great I thought, but now I've got another mama in process. I don't need this many shrimp... Is there a way to keep them from breeding and still have them be happy?
You can probably support a lot of shrimp in that tank without worrying about them being overcrowded or anything. let them breed at bit so you have a nice little colony, and if it get to be crowded looking (ascetically for you I mean) you can scoop or suction some out to give away or sell.
