Hey guys, finally getting around to a few pictures of my Eheim Aquastyle 6 gallon RCS tank. Been up for a few weeks and is coming along pretty nicely.
Looking to keep this nice and low-tech. Definitely a different animal from the saltwater tank this used to be. It's just about done for now, going to let it fill out and let two of the very pregnant RCS have their babies
Got some new pictures and some updates after being on vacation!
One of my pregnant shrimp gave birth so I've got at least 6-8 juvenile RCS running all over the place. Pretty cool to watch actually. See attached pictures for a 100% crop (sorry, no macro lens) of two of the babies.
Java moss is spreading a bit more so I'm going to look around for some long tweezers/pincers (not a fan of sticking my hands in and disturbing things) to yank a bit out.
Water sprite came loose from the substrate and was floating when I got back home. I wedged the stem in behind the filter. Honestly I'll just leave it as is, the roots have been hanging down and I've seen shrimp crawling all over it. Everything is happy so no complaints.
Dwarf hairgrass is actually starting to take off. It's in the front right corner and I've seen runners popping up against the front and right glass.
Anubias has a few holes from snails nibbling on it, but I'm not too concerned as it looks healthy otherwise. The snails are also slowly eating at the water sprite but that needs to be kept in check anyway, before it chokes off too much light.
