Nano Tank

Just purchased this little beauty from a local thrift store for a whooping 2.50.

Attachment 145378

Plants will just be mosses and Subwassertang. Lighting is a desk lamp with a 23w CFL bulb 6500K. It has a small heater, and I am using a sponge filter. I just need to find out if anybody has an idea on how many gallons it is and what could I put in it for stock. Was thinking a moving my three tiger shrimp into it. I think I will leave the aquascaping and substrate as is for now.

I used to keep an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

Measure the tank and plug the numbers in to a calculator and it will tell you exactly. Looks to be about 2 gallons though.

Looks exactly like my 1g nano

Mine came with an LED that is doing reasonably well growing plants. I've had a hard time getting it to cycle though.

Thelub. what where you planning on stocking it with. I just set mine up so do not know how long it will take to cycle.

I was going to try to use it to selectively breed some PFRs but since I've been having a hard time getting it to cycle I might put the culls in there or something. Its been on hold for a while because I was in the process of moving. Now that that's all over, I can take another stab at getting some livestock in it and try again. I'm going to put some water from another tank and see if that helps.

1G nano tank

So this is what I have decided to go with on this little tank. Right now it has four feeder white clouds in it to help with the cycle. I think I am going to go with some type of shrimp, but have not figured out which one I want to go with yet. Any suggestions, it will have to be something that does not crossbred with tiger shrimp as any culls and over population will have to go into the ten gallon tank.
