mini 5 stones "vasescape"

Got bored today so I took an old vase and did this.

Organic potting soil
Pfs cap
5 little random similar stones
1 aponogenton bulb
6c water from my fertilized planted tank.
Led light out of a marineland led hood/light combo.

Only problem is figuring out how to filter this thing...mini sponge filter mabey...
The only livestock that will be in it will be some mts snails.

I foresee potential issues with anerobic bacts. That looks like an incredibly deep substrate layer and fine cap, although it's quite difficult for me to get any scale on this. How big is the vase, and how deep are each of the layers respectively?

about 9" tall each layer is an inch. its just a temporary home for the snails untill my 10g is done cycling. i dont have a way to filter it so ive been taking a cup of water a day out and putting in a cup of water from my planted 20. If I have to to keep it feom going anaerobic I can poke at it daily with like a skewer correct.

so with those measurments i posted do you think there will be a problem with anerobic bacteria for ramshorn snails?

should i have an airstone or some sort of mini filter in there ive never had a planted bowl so im not sure

I've done similar thing before and kept a dozen of red cherry shrimps without any problems. The group never reproduced, but they were all doing fine for about a year until I took it down.
