Staurogyne repens carpet

I'm looking for something for my 45-P, roughly 10 gallon tank and currently have HC in it. Trimming HC is a major pain to trim. So I'm looking to possibly replace it with an easier to trim carpet (less messy really, its cleaning the trimmings of HC that is annoying). Do you guys think Staurogyne repens would be a cool carpet in a 45-P or would it look to big. The background is going to have tall stems like different rotala species, other bushy stems, etc. What do you think of the Staurogyne carpet idea?

id say it might be a bit large. perhaps use e. belem? can be a pain to clean up, but you dont really need to trim it.

I don't think it'll be too large at all.

I use it regularly in small tanks. Here's how it looked in my Ebi:

As long as you keep it a bit more trimmed than I did, it can look terrific.

But there are better options. The Elatines are great and you should consider them.
