Is dechlorination of top-off water needed?
I'm cycling my first tank and it seems to be going well, (raw shrimp method), I'm a week in and it's just gone milky white today, which I see is a bacteria bloom most likely. I'm about to do a water test, but thought of a question I've been meaning to ask.
Is dechlorination of a little top-off water required when keeping the water level at the required height due to evaporation? Not that I'm doing it now, but once I stock the tank... Is there enough dechlorinator in the water already or is it spent? what is best practice when adding a cup of water to a nano tank?
