DIY co2 for fifteen gallon tank
My plan with the co2 is to grab 2 two liter pop bottles and create the yeast/sugar concoction in both. I'm thinking that perhaps this will create plenty of co2 in the aquarium for the plants. I will take both tubes from each bottle and join them together to one tube going to the diffuser in the aquarium. I'll just use one of those nano glass diffusers. Now, the other reason why I like the idea of 2 two liter bottles is because I will create a new yeast/sugar mix in one bottle each week-keeping the co2 going and keeping it consistent. But because the mix takes about 24 hours to start creating co2 I might add some excel with the one bottle for a couple of days while the new bottle brews to compensate for the one brewing.
What do you guys think, will using two 2 liter bottles add more than 1bps to the 15 gallon thus creating more co2 than just using one bottle?
Because there will be no fish in this aquarium I not worried about too much co2. But will adding excel with the one bottle while the other brews new co2 every week keep the consistency?
