Just starting to build my 14g planted biocube, and I have all the parts together except aquascaping. I love the look of the seiryu stones, and I'm pretty set on purchasing some. I'm wondering if you think 5lbs would be enough? A part of me thinks maybe I should get 8lbs to be on teh safe side. I'm using Eco Complete for my substrate.
There's not enough info of how much rock you want in the tank. I'd say 8lbs is still on the lesser side for I have about 15lbs in my 10g. It all depends on how you want your scape to be
After I read my question I suppose you are correct. I'm thinking about doing a dwarf puffer tank or blue rams and some tetras. I love the looks of the some of the tanks I've seen where it looks more like landscape than an aquarium, like you are on the side of a mountain something like that. Do you have pictures of your aquarium?
I agree with Green_Flash. More stones will give you more possibilities in the scape, since you don't always know how each stone will fit. You can always sell off they ones that you don't use or decide to set up another tank(which seems to happen to a lot of members here).
