Aqueon Evolve 2

So, I really have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to creating a planted tank. All help would be appreciated so much.

I'm using a stock aqueon evolve 2. I'm not adding CO2 or fertilizers or really anything. My plan was to mix some garden soil with some generic aquarium gravel.

My real question is what plants can the stock LED's on this support? I was kinda hoping for something that grew relatively quickly but can handle any bone-headed mistakes I made. So, would using dwarf hair grass (is this the name?), just because I like the look, as a plant for the ground work with these conditions? I was thinking some of this and then a large rock in the center or a piece of driftwood with a java fern or anubias attached to it.

Later on once I figure all of this out, with help from here of course, I was hoping to add 3-4 RCS.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.
