Critters for a half-gallon bowl?

Or three bowls, it seems about 2 liters is my favorite size. One already has a pair of rili shrimp, and while they're nice, I'd like a little variation. What are some other ideas?

Shrimp, snails or Micro Crabs.

Can't really support much else practically or humanely.

I know, I'd love to get bigger, but I'm broke and keep finding really cheap half-gallon things when I get the urge to plant stuff. :/
Microcrabs sound pretty cool though, I might try them once my plants grow in a bit
