Dwarf Gourami Behaviour

Good day to a!!

Has anyone tried dwarf gourami with cherry shrimps in a tank? I'm afraid that it will harm the young shrimps that just hatched.

from what i read, they are micro predators so they will likely hunt after new borns. Otherwise they are timid due to their size and unique in this aspect to their larger counterparts.

They do like to hunt, and might even go after bigger shrimp depending on individual personality.

There might still be some hiding. If hunted they will learn to hide.

I have one with my fire reds and I have never seen any aggression towards the shrimp themselves other then he has learned how to chase them off the shrimp pellets and pig out

I had one with some RCS and Bumble Bee shrimp and kept wondering why I only had one shrimp left and he got really good at hiding under a piece of driftwood tucked into a crack. Then I saw him in the Guarami's mouth and was like stupid me. He hunted all 8 of my shrimp down.
