5.5 Iwagumi build ''Pride Rock''

Hey everyone, so I decided to start a build thread on my 5.5 gallon to show the evolution of the the tank. I got the tank a long time ago, used it for awhile, and when I no longer needed it I put it away. About two months I stumbled upon some nano setups and thought they were pretty cool. So I dusted off the 5.5 and got to work. The first setup was horrible. It was nano, but it was just like a very small planted tank. I wanted the look of Takashi Amano's nature aquariums. So the first setup was soon torn down.

The second is the final setup and I really worked to make it perfect.
The substrate is finely screened out topsoil with a black gravel cap.I also took off the top rim.

This is a month later. The water level was raised and more baby tears were added. The rock setup was also slightly changed.

This was the first fill five weeks of emersed. I also added dwarf hair grass behind the rocks. Also changed the light to a 24W 6500K

One week after first fill

Nice plant positioning, that HC will look good once it fills out. Not sure about the rocks though, I would suggest something more jagged

I would also suggest rocks that provide more dimension.

Yeah I agree with the rocks. The only thing is that I turned it into a high tech nano for shrimp.
