5 gallons of greatness!

Well i have big plans for a new 5 gallon, i would love an iwagumi type tank. Im wondering what plant you guys would use on an iwagumi carpet. I was looking at using glosso since i already have some spreading quickly in my 10 gallon. Im planning on it being just glosso in the tank, and a hilling effect on the right side with some sort of rock sticking out of the hill. Im having problems finding a rock i like. So what plant would you guys use for your foreground, and what rock would you recommend?

If your having trouble finding inspiration in the rocks at your LFS, try stopping by a bonsai shop. I have a bonsai shop near here and I get my ohko as well as other misc stone from there now. I also find that they sell stone cheaper there than at the fish shops but mileage will probably vary on that fact.

As for foreground, I personally like hc and hairgrass.

Self proclaimed King of parentheses (I even have a crown)

+ I have a 12g nano and I'm not afraid to use it! (Journal Link)
+ 15g rimless - to ultimately replace the 12g (Journal Link)
+ 0.9g Pico Tank (Journal Link)

Canada is like your attic - you forget about it, but once you're there, you're like "hey, there's some really cool stuff up here!"

HC+ hairgrass, HC+dwarf sag, HC + E. tenellus, HC+ blyxa japonica, basically HC as the foreground and a taller grassy plant for the back creates a very nice iwagumi style scape. of course you will want the right rock.
