So a couple months ago I bought a 2.5gallon tank and had planned for it to be a shrimp tank. Well I ended up putting the shrimp in my 29g cause I felt bad for them. Then I got a betta and felt bad.... now it's in the 29 too.
I've put some anacharis and a few other plants in there, they just don't last long... even java fern!
So I'm thinking about switching to a garden soil and possible terrestrial plants. I know they would have to be able to live in an aquarium (no drain on the bottom) and survive with low light. I guess anything that won't drown, have short roots, and stays short? Humidity will be easy to maintain in a tank. Are there like, miniature ferns or ivy?
