how much turbulance can a beta handle?

i was thinking of adding one to my tank but with two canister outflows and a powerhead i'm not sure he would be ok? there are calmer spots in the tank but along the front area is like a mildly rushing river. can these guys handle this type of conditions?

i have a dwarf puffer that usually doesn't like these conditions...he navigates it ok but he gets tossed around a bit. the beta's seem more delicate.

Since Betta's are pretty much from a no flow environment, it might be kind of rough and stressful. Also, it will cause his fins to have more tears in it. I would avoid too much flow if possible. When i moved my betta from his plastic container, he had amazing fins. Once he went into a higher flow tank, his fins def changed.

Too much.........

Thats too much current. He'd just end up hiding behind the outflow of one of the canisters all the time.

I'd definitely agree that it's too much flow, but Bettas do really well in little 5.5 or 10g tanks set up just for them with low flow if you really want a Betta
