What fish with neon tetras?

Hi! In my 29g tank I'm going to keep neon tetras, otos, dwarf corys and other small fish. However I'm drawn to a three bigger fish and I'm wondering which (or any at all) could be kept with neon tetras. First I like Butterfly fish. But I KNOW I can't keep one of them. I like Angelfish but I don't think I could keep one. I heard you could 'train' them not to eat neon tetras but most places say you can't. Has any one here had success keeping them together? The third is a pearl gourami. I have hope i might be able to keep one of these. Has anyone kept neon tetras with pearl goumamis? Thanks!

P.S. Any other bigger fish that could be kept with neon tetras?

I have a Pearl Gourami with Neon Tetra's and Threadfin Rainbow's (really delicate fins) and they are fine together. In fact, the neons can even chase the gourami around. (He is so chicken!)

I had no problems with keeping neons with a butterfly fish. The neons were either smart enough to stay under the butterfly fish or the butterfly fish was never interested in leaving the top four inches of the water column.

Angelfish + neons = full Angelfish
