I have Boraras Merah and they all stay at the top. I have 14 in my 20gl and yeah, they are all over the top and just under the floating frogbit.

do you think its because of the frogbit though? i do not have many plants near the top of my tank at the moment just did a massive trim
on a side note how do you like the frogbit, ive been looking for a floating plant thats easy and not to invasive (no duckweed!!!) how wide do the leaves of frogbit get?

I have my baby clown killifish in with chocolate gouramis, sid loaches, zebra otos, peckoltia plecs, axelrodi rasboras, and a couple dario dario. Nobody bothers the killifish, they take over the whole top of the tank, swimming amongst the floaties. If you want to breed them I could see needing a species only tank. In fact, I am waiting for my males to show their best color, and I am moving one pair off to another tank. Don't believe everything written on the internet about how fish need to be kept. They can coexist with other peaceful species.

Boraras are not microrasboras! Maybe the same size, cyprinids, but different genus. The rasbora/danio classification is still up for grabs!

And.. I just realized your italics. We're on the same page!

Oh my fault, I was confused, i didn't realize Microsrasbora was a genus! A lot of people use the word microrasbora to indicate the small species of boraras, sorry for the confusion. Either way my briggitae don't swim at the top, nor does my CPD

white clouds and gold clouds are surface dwellers, but they preffer temps to the cooler side.
