GBR's With Ich?
I know they're highly sensitive fish in general, but I did notice a few small "salt-like" specs on one of the pair, and those same specs are now on one of my Harlequin Rasporas. The other GBR looks like it has almost an exposed gill — just one that's kinda puffy looking (I'll get some photos later), and is "flicking" against rocks and plants. Both are eating just fine, however, and are otherwise OK.
I'm thinking it's probably Ich, so I've raised the tank temp to 85°F and have begun every-other-day water changes of about 20%. Should I be doing more? Daily changes, or perhaps 50% every other day?
I'll keep the tank temp at 85°F for the next week or two and hope it's enough to allow them to bounce back, but I'd like to avoid medicines if possible.
Tank readings as of yesterday:
ph 6.8, nitrate 0, nitrite 0.25 PPM, Amonia 0
Today (tonight) would/will be the next every-other-day change.
Thanks in advance.
