Lace rock and kuhlis

Hey all. Was pondering some scraping ideas for my next project a 55g heavily planted tank. It'll have shrimp and probably some kuhlis and a school of smaller fish, some ottos and nerites (correct me if I'm wrong but the kuhlis and shrimp should do fine minus the shrimp hatchlings) but I wanted to put lace rock in but am not sure how rough it is. (The closest fish store to me is an hour away so I haven't gotten much of a chance to look at it in person) and I don't want my kuhlis getting hurt by rubbing against the rocks. Is lace rock a bad idea? Any feed back would be great. Thank u all very much

first off i would forget the shrimp any loach and most fish will just make snacks of them. 2nd i would test the lace rock before it goes into the tank. if its what im thinking of it also goes by holy rock and is a lime stone. that will change the chemistry of the tank and make it hard and the ph will go up. not alot of fish like hard high ph water. im not sure how the texture is on it but just be careful when putting rockes in the tank that will alter the chemistry

My kuhlis only eat dead shrimp - my cherries are breeding like mad so perhaps the odd baby goes missing. I have 10 kuhlis in a 55g and many shrimp.
I have some gravel and some sand areas + some lace rock - never had a problem with any area and although they like a little dig in the sand, they also use the gravel areas just as much. Never seen any injuries.
