Sup everyone
I was thinking about trumpet snails and how their good for substrate since their "aerate" it by tunneling through the substrate. How good are they for tanks with carpet plants though. By tunneling through the gravel would they make plants such as glosso hard to keep in the ground? I dunno just my thoughts on the topic. What do you all think?

Not a big fan of MTS myself, and no experience... but this discussion will give you some ideas:

MTS have destroyed my carpet attempts. After re-planting my glosso on a daily basis, I've finally given up. Hopefully the puffers will get them sooner or later.

I have a good infestation of MTS's in my tank with established glosso. I also need to clear out an area of glosso that is multilayered now and then, so I plant glosso "seedlings" in these areas and do not have a problem with the glosso staying rooted.

My guess would be that MTS's may disturb glosso depending on the size of the substrate. I use Eco-Complete.
