Mangos

Anyone ever feed there fish fruit?
Just gave them mango, and all my panda Garras and plecos are going crazy over it!

the Panda Garras I have seen are so dull but yours are so pretty.

It isn't common to feed fish fruit mainly because the high sugar content promotes bacterial blooms.

That said, many fish eat fruit in the wild so it is actually a good food as far as their health goes.

Mine love watermelon and cantaloupe. When ever I have it in the house the get it for several days in a row. Never had an issue

What do you do, put in tiny cubes or put in one big piece and remove it after a few minutes?

New tank! Micro-Jar, 1 gallon planted jar. Come check it out!

I toss in the rind with a bit of fruit on it and just leave it. Sometimes I remove it after a day, sometimes I was several days


Keep in mind I have about 20+ Apple snails, along with several algae eating fish in my tank. They can clear a 1inx1in cube in a few hours.
