Mysteriously missing a fish

Just noticed that I seem to be missing one if the female gourami that I had in the tank. She was def the smallest of the three but the prettiest silver.

A couple spot checks under driftwood and such and under the stand have not revealed her and no leftovers from the shrimp cleaning up afterwards.

Just one of those mysteries.....

Last time I was missing a fish it ended up my net. Was too late before I figured that one out. Also lost a rainbow shark once. Turned up in my cats puke a few hours later.

If in doubt, add more plants!

Fish can wind up in odd places just to mess with our mind! Had a fish go missing and when finally found it had someway landed on the 1/2 wide portion of stand sticking out behind the tank. How can a 1/2" wide fish stay on a narrow ledge without flopping off?//

I have learned I have to check rocks and decor VERY carefully so that a BN is not hanging on inside somewhere.

Yeah I have no clue how long she has been missing. With 40+ fish I don't see them each every day. Maybe it was last water change. It wasn't the normal process so maybe I missed her. well with just the two females left I might try to trade in at the lfs for some Bolivian rams. though my rcs may not appreciate it

Well mystery solved. Saw a tiny bit of bones tucked under the corner of the driftwood. Not sure if it as illness or if she got herself stuck. Either way the shrimp cleaned up
