Wow thank you everyone for responding! Haha yes, there is usually a heater in there and I like to keep the temperature between 76-80 but I took the heater out because it was summer and one wasn't needed.
@stevenp: haha I thought about a red belly or two In there and discussed it with my teacher. They seem a bit too costly and aggressive to be in a school. Ie always wanted to keep one... :P it would fit nicely with the theme of pirates and fierce though!
@jpappy789: thanks for the list! I like the colors of the cherry barbs and the serape tetra! The red tail and rainbow shark would be amazing in the tank, nearby stores sell those I think. The kuhli loach would look spectacular, love the way it looks like an eel and the kind of thing you would find in a shipwreck. The angelicus loach has some nice patterns to it. Most definitely some cories! The black neon tetra might be kind of hard to see swimming around since the background is black. I like the panda barb and they would look great if we could get some nice specimens. It reminds me of a clown loach. And most big exotic fish are a bit expensive. Or well, the nice ones a. Like discus and angelfish. I'd love to have some discus in there but the difficulty and cost is too much :/ maybe one or two larger fish?
@ovt: hahaha I've never been to Las Vegas. Too young 😆 I like the white clouds, they would stand out nicely among the black background. Not really a cold water tank though.
@bruce_s: I like the way you think! Red eye tetras might stand out too, they'd look sharp streaks of silver and red swimming through the masts. I like the black phantom tetras, they remind surprisingly similar to the serape tetra. Maybe a few of both to add diversity?
@adjaquariums: we already have a nice school of neon tetras in the 90 gallon right next to "palatine's tank". I plan on maybe putting in a few more to finish in the school.
@macquisition76: yes! I love the pencil fish idea. They would look amazing in the tank. Unfortunately I don't know of any lfs that sells them near me
@tiggity: glofish are nice, but I feel they are too common in my area :/ if I got the right lighting(led's) they would look amazing, but then again if we could afford better lighting we would be able to afford fish from live aquaria and online places :/
@coldwater king: I don't think the giant danios are too easy to get in my area. I haven't seen them in nearby petcos or petsmarts
Thank you all for helping! I'm going to try to get a stocking list together as soon as this is posted. Please, if you have any more ideas feel free to add them! You've all been so helpful so far!
