Rotten luck with fish
I started out with a zebra otto, 5 neon blue rasboras, i added a flame gourami later on. All were living in harmony for the most part. The gourami would not leave the otto alone which led to the otto latching onto the gouramis tail and taking a big chunk out of it. Unfortuley the gourami succumbed to his wounds.
One day 1 of my blue neon rasboras jumped out of the tank and I was not their to rescue it although I am sure even if I could manage to be on time it would have died from a heart attack they are so delicate.
One day I was changing the tank water , had a thick carpet of dwarf hair grass (now not in the tank) the remaining neon blue rasboaras I guess were frightened by the siphon and put themselves down into the hair grass and drown themselves. I thought they were hiding in the decor as they always do.
I bought a group of 3 pygmy corydoras and they one by one jumped out of the tank.
Funny thing is I have kept tanks in the past big and small and have been much more successful.
The tank is an aqueon evolve 8 semi planted low light tank. So 6.5 gallons.
Should I just keep the otto and not worry about replacing the fish?
What would you do at this point? Thanks in advance for any advice.
