Another stocking suggestion thread

I'm setting up a 30 gallon, it will have driftwood, sand substrate, T5HO lighting, moss, going heavily planted. Filtered with a fluval 304, and if I decide to put CO2 I'll use an eheim to push the reactor. pH usually sits in the high 7's, gH 12, kH 6.

An opportunity to order fish has come and I need to have my order in by Thursday evening. Group order from a reputable source, should avoid disease problems.

I've been using aqadvisor to get an idea. I want a schooling colorful fish, cardinals or rummynose?

Cory habrosus for the bottom.

I can't decide what dwarf cichlid I want, mainly because I've never kept them.

Bolivian rams or Kribensis? or something else? These are going to produce fry? That I'll have to do something with? Or will the tetras finish those off?

Cardinal or rummynose x 12
Cory habrosus x 12
some cool colorful fish I've never kept. (this is wide open) 2 or 3?

I've been keeping and breeding GBRs for a year or so and have thourghly enjoyed them. Great little fish that does well with other tank mates. I just got my first Kribs a few weeks ago and so far they seem to have a bit more of the classic " Cichlid" temperament. Watch out at feeding time!!

Ok, after further research the Kribs are out. I'm thinking bolivian rams for sure. What is the best way to get a mated pair?
