What species is this? Conflicting results.

I was trying to figure out the scientific name of this species and I attributed the different images to different sexes but I'm almost positive multiple species came up. Anywho...here's the image of the fish:

believe gertude aru II rainbow fish. this species, and many rainbow fish, vary in appearance quite a bit depending on the locale.

so you will have many fish of the same species with very different looks

That's what I was looking for. A more specific name. Thank you kindly. Can you tell me anything about them. Price? Are they abundant among this forum?

there were like 15-20 results with that picture all that I checked were the same so it should be accurate. But the internet has been known to lie to us on occasion.

@Adamc13

I didn't mean to discredit you by the way. Thanks for your help. I didn't think to reverse image search

I just found out about the reverse image search like a month or two ago. I use it every chance I get now!

They are quite rare, and delightful fish. I have had them years ago. They are generally kept in low PH. I used RO water when I kept them.
