Thumbs up Opinions: fish with the most "personality"

What is the most interesting fish you have ever kept? I don't care if it's the plainest looking thing - I just want to hear about it's "personality!"

I've just recently started keeping female betta in a sorority and have really enjoyed watching them! One girl seems to get excited when she sees another female so she'll have a chance to display, but she always gets ignored or chased off. It's really funny.

cories - put 6 to 10 in a group (I have only had false julii/leopard myself) and they are funny little guys - always wiggling and rolling their eyes

Rams are great to watch. They establish territory and then have little arguments its fun to watch. When you get pairs the male will use his body to block other males from his girl. It's neat to watch the parents raise and protect there young. And rams can be kept with other fish.

Chocolate gouramis have a graceful presence to them that very few other fish can match.

Goldfish. My oranda sticks his face up and out of the water begging for food. If he doesn't get food, he slaps the water with his tail and sends a little puddle of water flying.

Panda Cories!! I play with them through the glass, I wag my head back and fourth and they mimic me. They think I am a big coy!

Breeding convict cichlids... The way the parents guard, herd and feed the fry is amazing. These fish are 99 percent attitude and 50 percent mean... which adds up to 149 percent fun to watch.

In terms of their own possibilities for individualistic personalities..

Goldfish, Koi, and Bettas.

I think the best personality might be corydoras.

hands down

Panda Garra's. Very cute and curious. And always nibbles on my hand when I'm working in my tank. Not really aggressive but seems to keep everyone in check.

Panda cories and bettas.

My cories are so fun to watch, sqiggling aroundand digging in the sand.

My bettas dance and beg for food and my boy will eat off of my finger.

Any Corydoras variety for sure. My favorite is Corydoras habrosus.

Dwarf/Pea Puffers are also FILLED with personality. Smart, cunning little buggers.
