Should I QT rummy nose tetras... How big/how long..

I am setting up an 84G Planted tank.

I have 2KG of bio rings 90% cycled (using ammonia in a bucket with a bubble) as nitrites are finally starting to drop. I seeded the rings with established media. These bio rings will be in a FX5 on the 84G tank.

Im breeding CPD's which will be about 80% of the inhabitants of the tank. I have about 20 ish fry that are 3/4 size that I will add to the tank to start it off.. 2-3 week after the 3/4 CPDs.... I'm also thinking of picking up about 30 rummy nose tetras to add to the tank.

The petstore im getting them from keeps all their tanks on their own air driven filtration.. so i'm not to worried about contamination.. that being said they are order from somewhere else and who knows about before that (if they are brought freshly in.)

I'm assuming that i should QT them (which i have never bothered but they will be in a new tank that will be filled with CPDs as i breed them).

How big of a tank (or container) would i need to QT the Rummy nose in? Would a 10-20 gallon bucket work? Is a single dual sponge filter good enough or would i need more filtration? How long would one QT them for?

Or could i just add the rummy nose right off the bat so its just them in the tank and slowly add in CPD's as i go?

SO brand new tank.. Put the rummys in first and not bother QT..

Or put them in a 15G bucket for a week or two then move them into the tank
