I've been wanting to start something like this too. I'll be looking forward to updates, and pics too!

Yes, please keep us updated. I'm starting to see more multiple-females in one tank in the LFS.

Are you adding a male or just leaving it all-female?

Adding a male would ruin any chance of keeping the females in check.

I too have noticed some LFS keeping females in a single tank - it's risky without a lot of cover, especially since males are the primary seller - females can be stuck in the tank together for a very long time.

bettafish.com has a ton of sorority info and experiences. They're not difficult to keep, but they do require a certain amount of diligence as females can be very temperamental and fights do break out.

The male will do nice in a planted 5g tanks, plus i personally dont lik how bettas are kept anyways. On the flipside i have had a 10g planted sorority tank with 5 girls for about 7 months now and there have been no fights at all and am really happy with it,they always swarm the surface when i come by thinking there gonna het fed hope yours turns out great.
