Fish breeders: problems with hydra & fry?

I have a tank full of fry and I noticed a mild hydra bloom in the tank. Any breeders ever had problems w/ hydra killing their fry?

And if there is any way to kill the hydra (w/o harming the fry) then please advise...

Pearling.....it's way overrated.

I had hydra kill several Betta fry. Easiest way is squish them.

I had an outbreak in one of my tanks but not sure if it affected any fry or not. Wasn't willing to take the chance so I dosed Flubendazole. No more hydra.

Word of caution; don't squish them or try manual removal. They can regenerate themselves from the smallest of pieces left behind.

Planning on getting some hydra and putting them in their own tank to observe real soon.

I've heard panacur works....but I'm a little weary of dosing mess that were designed for dogs. Lol...anyone here tried it yet?
