Can I mix Kribs? ("Red" Krib and Krib)
So my lfs had some nice kribs that ive been looking for for a few weeks and decided to grab a couple. They were very nice and some females looked great. But then I seen in another tank they had "red" kribs that were alittle smaller but had a little more red and blue in them so I decided to grab two but there was only a few left. And he said they were one of the rarer species. My question is can I go back and get a pair of regular kribs and put them in with the red kribs? Or do they interbreed? Sorry ive been keeping shrimp for the last few years, so my mind is stuck on the same species interbreeding thing. Its made my fish shopping a lot harder and more confident, unlike my friend who buys 2 of every community fish and throws them in his 30g. And does anyone know anything more about the red krib. Is it a Pelvicachromis Pulcher like regular kribs. Or is it a Pelvicachromis taeniatus? I can only find a few species on dwarfcichlid.com.
