breeding killifish

would a 5.5g be good for breedinng clown killifish?

i have 2m 2f...

they are in another tank and i need to setup one of them to breed in

do you actually need a heater for this fish? room temp 65-68F.

i want to put it on a target metal shelve

http://www.target.com/p/room-essenti...=metal+shelves

same one i have...i got a 2.5 on it in the middle alright...thinking about putting it below then the 2.5 upbove

maybe add some green shrimp down the road? would that be pushing it and do shrimp eat the killi egg?

shrimp would probably eat the eggs and you will probably need a spawning mop. a 5 gal would work good for them since they are a small fish. just remember with water alone a 5 gal weighs little over 50 lbs and if you fill with gravel it will be more than that

+1 on the spawing mop or floating plants. They like hanging arount the surface for the most part.
